DNV (Det Norske Veritas) accredited hospital and has been recognized for its excellence in providing care and support
for the health and wellness of our community. DNV is recognized by Medicare
for the accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO) hospital accreditation
program. The following is a listing of awards and designations recently
received by the Jersey City Medical Center in recognition of its service
to the community.

Jersey City Medical Center has earned the
Vision of Performance Excellence Award (VoPE) in 2016, the highest quality achievement award presented on the state level.

In 2016, JCMC received an
ISO 9001 Certification, which demonstrates an organization's ability to consistently meet
high customer and regulatory standards for service.

The Commission on the Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) is a national accrediting body providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS)
agencies standardization to increase organizational performance and efficiency,
increase clinical quality, safety and decrease risks. The Jersey City
Medical Center EMS received official notification stating Jersey City
Medical Center was reaccredited with no deficiencies noted. The JCMC EMS
was the first EMS agency in the country to receive triple accreditation
including CAAS and two other national accreditation agencies for dispatch,
education, and emergency medical service. Additionally, in 2016 JCMC EMS
received the prestigious EMS 10 Innovators award from the Journal of EMS.

Received an"A" Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit group measuring hospital safety and
quality, for the 11th consecutive time. Jersey City Medical is one of
only 63 hospitals in the country to have received an A grade for safety
each time.

Breast Center
Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence — the highest certification
level offered by the National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC).
The Wilentz Center is one of just two New Jersey facilities and is among
just 18 in the nation to achieve this top national certification.
Three-year full accreditation designation by The National Accreditation
Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) for "providing the highest quality
evaluation and management of patients with breast disease."
Designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College
of Radiology's (ACR) Commission on Quality and Safety and the Commission
on Breast Imaging. Additionally, the Wilentz Center is the first facility
in New Jersey and just the 20th in the nation to earn ACR's Gold Seal
Accreditation for breast MRI and also holds ACR accreditation for mammography,
breast ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsy.
Has passed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) inspection for being
in total compliance with stringent requirements under the federal Mammography
Quality Standards Act (MQSA) with "no" deficiencies —
a success achieved by less than 20 percent of the more than 2,000 facilities
in the country inspected by the FDA.
