Services Provided
The Department of Pharmacy provides medication therapy patient care services
for adult inpatient and outpatient services at Barnabas Behavioral Health.
Barnabas Behavioral Health Center’s pharmacy provides care to patients
during the hours from 7 am to midnight. Our pharmacists collaborate directly
with patients, physicians, and nurses to provide patient centered care
with contribution from all disciplines. Pharmacists provide services such
as medication reconciliation, anticoagulation monitoring and dosing, renal
dosing, antimicrobial stewardship, medication group patient counseling,
drug level monitoring, and blood glucose monitoring. These services help
to provide the highest quality care for patients at our facility. The
pharmacy department is a well regarded discipline at our hospital and
are relied on by all disciplines
Clinical Services
The Clinical services at Barnabas Behavioral Health Center provide care
for patients with disease states such as: bipolar disorder, depression,
anxiety, schizophrenia, and dual diagnosis. Our services also provide
care for the whole patient such as managing other healthcare related disease
states. We utilize cutting edge medications, provide DNA assessments,
and utilize unique information technology solutions to give the highest
quality of care.
Pharmacy has a strong presence in many committees hospital-wide such as
Infection Control, Antibiotic Stewardship, Pharmacy and Therapeutics,
Performance Improvement, fall reduction, and Medical Executive.
