Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Children’s Hospital of New Jersey have a long history of training at the undergraduate and graduate medical education levels. The faculty is dedicated to advancing the education of both residents and medical students.

NYCOM Students

3rd Year Student Rotations

  • Internal Medicine - 12 weeks
  • General Surgery - 12 weeks
  • Pediatrics - 6 weeks
  • Psychiatry - 6 weeks

Regional Program (3rd Year Students)

Newark Beth Israel Medical Center participates in the regional student program alongside Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and Clara Maass Medical Center. Students are able to complete their 3rd year core rotations within system institutions and gain valuable experience in complimentary urban and suburban settings.

Students are also able to apply to Newark Beth Israel student rotations individually outside of the regional program.

The 3rd year core rotations are set up prior to the start of the academic year at NYCOM by the office of clinical education.

4th Year Student Rotations

Newark Beth Israel offers a large selection of rotation options for the 4th year medical student in the Departments of Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery and Emergency Medicine.

Saint George’s University Student
