Radiology

Welcome

The Radiology Residency Program at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center (NBIMC) is committed to providing the highest quality training for its residents. With its intimate learning environment, tremendous pathology and high faculty-to-resident ratio, our residents grow to become experienced and confident radiologists. Fellowship-trained attendings provide excellent education and skills in various subspecialties. The education provided at NBIMC is well recognized and our residents consistently score top in the nation on board exams and earn competitive fellowships.

The residency program is four years in length, consisting of rotations through all subspecialties of radiology. The curriculum is modality-based and training focuses on excellence in clinical care, research, interdepartmental teaching and emphasizes keeping up-to-date in this dynamic field of medicine. Residents spend the majority of their time at NBIMC, however are required to rotate at UMDNJ and Mt. Sinai Hospital for a few subspecialties. Newark Beth Israel Medical Center is also home to the Children’s Hospital of New Jersey, which includes a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Emergency Department. Residents have the opportunity to learn from a full time pediatric radiologist.
