Longitudinal Rotations
Longitudinal learning experiences involve practice settings and activities
to which the resident will be exposed throughout all or most of the year.
An Ambulatory Care experience will be assigned during the first month
of the residency program. The resident will attend educational events,
but will not participate in the Ambulatory Care experience until licensure
and completion of either Internal Medicine or Critical Care. The resident
will also be responsible for Pharmacokinetic and Code Call coverage throughout
the residency year. Initially the resident will work closely with their
preceptors with the goal of becoming independent towards the end of the
residency program.
