Application Process
How to Apply
The residency program selects six applicants per year from over 500 applications.
Applications are accepted only through the Electronic Residency Application
Service (ERAS). No other applications will be accepted. A completed application
includes: an official copy of USMLE or COMLEX scores, an official medical
school transcript, a Dean's letter, and at least three letters of
reference from faculty members familiar with the applicant's performance.
Additionally, foreign graduates must submit a valid ECFMG certificate.
It should be noted that the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology does
not sponsor visa applicants.
The deadline for receipt of complete applications is December 1. After
careful review, highly selected applicants are invited for formal interviews
which are held from October through December.
The interview process includes a formal presentation by our residents,
program overview with our Program Director, Chairman and residents, interviews
with members of the Residency Interview Committee, and a tour of our facilities.
Breakfast and lunch are provided. Due to the volume of applications received,
we cannot notify everyone who has applied to our residency in the event
we are unable to offer an interview.
The Department of Graduate Medical Education is responsible for setting
policy relevant to application for residency training positions. All residency
programs employ the standard national Electronic Residency Application
Service (ERAS). Programs must not discriminate with regard to sex, race,
age, religion, color, national origin, disability or veteran status.
