Diann Johnston, MSN, RN, NEA-BC

Ms. Johnston has extensive experience at the executive level in acute care hospital operations. She has held highly complex executive positions and has provided leadership across the patient care enterprise through mergers, acquisitions and a closure. Before joining Monmouth Medical Center, Ms. Johnston was Chief Operating Officer for Bon Secours Health System Inc. which owned and operated hospitals in New Jersey including Christ Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Mary Hospital. She also held the position of Senior Vice President for Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer for Bayonne Medical Center.

Ms. Johnston is an alumna of Rutgers College of Nursing where she received her Bachelors in Science for Nursing. Ms. Johnston was awarded her Masters in Science, Nursing Administration from Wagner College.

Ms. Johnston is current and past Board Member of the Organization of Nurse Executives of New Jersey. Ms. Johnston is also a Board Member for Felician College Nursing Advisory Board and Monmouth University Nursing Advisory Board. Ms. Johnston serves as a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and The Advisory Board-Nurse Executive Center.

Ms. Johnston was recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as Board Certified as Nurse Executive in 2002 and 2007.
